Secure lock time malfunction

I just got my Galaxy S7 last Friday so i am still able to take it back since I'm within the 14 day time frame of return. My question is, is anyone else having an issue with the secure lock time defaulting to 20 min? I set mine to lock instantly with the power key but after about a day it will default back to 20 min of inactivity. I am wondering if i maybe don't have something set correct or if maybe the phone is defective. I am still on 6.0.1 APC2. (I always hold out as long as possible on updates encase a root comes available).
