Finally got fed up waiting for Fire OS 5 so i decided that the new CM13 looked good and stable and wanted to try it out. I started with Kingroot to obtain root access. Ran the script that was written to install TWRP, however i accidentally ran the script for 4th gen devices. I didnt realize it until i rebooted my kindle and got nothing but a black screen :(
I plugged it into my windows PC and got a bunch of drives/partitions popping up needing formatted before use(i did not format any) The one drive i could access(read only) had an image folder on it.
I rebooted into linux and saw he same drives/partitions popping up, however, i can access more of them in linux and can see the android OS files on some(i think)
I feel like i should be able to adjust the partitions to get it to boot, but im afraid to do anything in fear ill brick it beyond hope.
Side note-i spent four hours online and on the phone with amazon support trying to play dumb to get them to help me reload it. They did admit that if i were 'techy' enough it can be done but they werent set up to help me.
