Wiped 'System' while flashing CM and now stuck on 'Cyanogen Fastboot Mode' screen?
What's even worse, is that, you didn't enable USB Debugging!
This guide is for you! Read On!

Yes, you guessed it right! You can get your soft-bricked Yunique up and alive, and I did this too, so I guess this is the only method that works.

Some things before we start:

1. This guide is tested to work on YUNIQUE ONLY, and not any other devices. Try any other devices at your own risk.
2. This guide shall work only if your phone starts up and shows that ugly Fastboot screen. If the device doesn't show any signs of starting, get it to the service center.
3. Don't lodge an FIR on me if this doesn't work for you. Maybe you're not following the steps correctly, or you just aren't lucky.

Requisites:

1. Stock Firmware Zip: HERE
2. Qualcomm Drivers: HERE
3. Windows PC
4. Original/Good Quality USB Cable (else writing speed will be very slow and could even be interrupted).
5. The phone (Fully Charged. Since you can't see the battery level, I suggest you to plug it in for 2-3 hours to ensure enough battery for the process)
6. Patience

Now comes the real part. I've divided the procedure into two parts to make it easy for you. First, go through the entire post, then proceed.

Part 1- BACKSTAGE WORKS:

1. The file you will download has no extension (null extension) so you need to add the zip extension (.zip) at the end of the filename by renaming it. Only then it will be extractable. So go ahead and extract it.
2. Run the 'setup' from inside the 'Driver' folder inside the folder that you just extracted. Let it instal the drivers, then Restart your computer. Restarting is necessary.
3. Extract the 'QualcommDrv.zip' (Qualcomm Drivers Zip). Depending on your architecture, instal the driver by running either 'dpinst32.exe' or 'dpinst64.exe' which can be found inside 'Allx86' and 'Allx64' folders respectively.
4. Get your phone into that Fastboot screen by holding down Volume Up + Power button for 7-10 seconds.

Part 2- DAMN YOU, BRICK:

1. Run 'ets.startrun.exe' fron inside the 'HQXA CustomerDL EMMC V1.15 150706' folder.
2. While in fastboot mode, connect the phone to your computer.
3. Now in the ETS Flasher window, click on the USB Button (Butterfly Icon). This should open up a list of all interface ports and devices connected to them. Look under the 'DevDesc' field for your phone. It should be mentioned as 'Android Bootloader Interface' or 'Android Composite Hardware' or 'QCOM Interface'. Take a note of the port number in the format 'USB_XYZ' (like USB_202) because you shall need the port number. To find your device easily, remove all other USB devices till you're done unbricking.
4. Close the USB Device Manager window and get back to the ETS Flasher window. Hit the 'Set' button (beside the Butterfly Icon). Set 'Download Mode' to 'EmergencyDownload'. Now click on 'Change Path' and select the 'Firmware' folder found inside the extracted ROM Zip.
5. Under 'Port Settings', Select the port number you took a note of in the previous step, and make sure every other 'Thrd' box is set to NULL. Click 'Ok' to get back to the main window. Let it load the directory completely.
6. After the directory is loaded, push your phone into 'Download Mode' by pressing and holding all three physical buttons- VOLUME UP + POWER + VOLUME DOWN together for some time. The phone shall reboot into 'Cyanogen Download Mode'.
7. Once the 'Download Mode' screen appears, Press VOLUME UP to confirm. The screen shall now go blank and your computer should detect the device.
8. If your phone is detected by ETS Flasher, your phone should appear across the selected port. The 'Item' name should read 'sahara download mode' and 'P/F' should change to 'READY' from 'NO PHONE'. If you can't see these, it means your drivers are not properly installed. See the troubleshooting at the end of this post.
9. Now hit 'Start All' button and wait till the progress bar goes from zero all the way upto 100%. In my case, it took 7 minutes and 15 seconds to flash the phone, but it may vary.
10. After it has flashed your phone completely, your phone should restart automatically. Done! Mission Accomplished!

Troubleshooting:

• Phone doesn't reboot into Download Mode: Try a normal force rebbot first, by holding the power button for some seconds. After you feel a slight vibration, try to get into Download Mode and it should work.
• Phone is not detected in ETS Flash window: Follow these steps.
• Flashing stops in between, doesn't complete: The USB Port of your computer might have loose plates. Try changing to a different port and retry.

Canadian D803 Soft Boot Loops. Need help at least to make Apps and Data Backup

I've got a Canadian G2 D803. I have been using AICP 10 (aicp_d803_lp-10.0-NIGHTLY-20151225), the last lollipop release. I used this because in January when I tried MM release, it caused random soft boots at the time.

With the AICP 10 lollipop, it was mostly working fine until Friday when it all of a sudden doing soft reboots. It wasn't just a single isolated instance. It began doing it constantly. Every time it finished booting up, after a minute or so, it would soft reboots itself. In addition, when it constant soft reboots, the time would reset to linux default of 1970-01-01. Because it only stays in boot completed for only a minute, it wasn't long enough to sync time with service provider or ntp servers. Manually correct the time and a few soft reboots later would reset back to default 1970-01-01.

I should also note that this is not the first time it happened. I traveled to China in May, and this soft reboot loop kept happening. But the problem stopped after I disable auto time sync. But this time, I disable time sync and it's not working.

My main issue right now is I want to backup all the apps and data with Titanium Backup before wiping the phone or moving to another phone. But it only completed boot for 1 minute before it soft reboots by itself again. Within the 1 minute time, for multiple reboots, I uninstall some recent apps. However, so far it doesn't have any effect. I've also tried clearing dalvik and data cache in TWRP. While the phone boots and runs through the "optimizing" app on boot, it doesn't soft reboot, not until it completes booted into the OS. Here is a more detailed list of things I have tried so far without success:

I'm completely at a loss right now as I just want to backup the apps and data first. Does anyone experience something like this before? Anyone has any clue about this or similar issues?

I do have a logcat and kmsg. I don't think I'm allowed to attach to the post because I'm new to XDA. Where can I post it?

Power button problem

Hi all,

I have accident on sea where one wave splashed a bag where my phone was. After small problems with "laggy" buttons everything went fine and my phone worked correctly except power button. It doesn't react. I couldn't even restart the phone. And when my battery was used I coudnt turn it on. I tried to press volume up + power button million times, or all 4 buttons, and somehow I manage to turn it on again while still I was on vacation. Few times I have entered Android recovery screen, and Power button worked perfectly there (I managed to press power button and select reboot device). And after the phone turn on power button would usually works few minutes and then it would died again.

I have installed software for simulation of power button and it worked ok. This morning somehow I decided to turn off my phone, and I couldn't even imagine what kind of problems I will have to turn it on again. Whole day I am trying to turn it on, but it doesn't react. When I pull in charger then it shows regularly battery status (70%). I am desperate :crying:

I am trying to google or find any solution how to bring it ON again without power button, but without success :(
Is there any way how could I turn Samsung galaxy S6 Edge Plus without power button?

Dock background tint on stock MIUI launcher

Has anyone been able to get tinted background with a theme on stock MIUI launcher on v6, v7 or v8?
I was able to get the tinted dock with an iOS 9 theme in early days of MIUI v7 but now the same theme won't tint the dock on v6 or even v7.

Stereograph Viewer App

The US Library of Congress http://ift.tt/2aJKLd7 has hundreds of historic stereographs that are freely available for download. There are other sources for these stereo images too.

I've found that I can copy these images to my phone and view them with Google Cardboard but there is no easy way to move from one image to the next. The Stereogram app requires the images be edited and adjusted. I'd rather keep it simple and just copy the images to my phone.

Please respond if you know of a simple Google Cardboard app that will allow me to copy several of these images to my phone and view them one at a time by clicking the button on the Cardboard.

If not that, would someone, familiar with the Google Cardboard APIs for Android, please contact me to discuss possible development of an app.

Samsung Galaxy GT-S7582 Firmware Upgrade Encountered an Issue

Followed all tutorials and did some specific research but failed.

I downloaded the gt-s7582 official firmware, drivers, and all were successfully installed and flashed but still encountered firmware upgrade error.
