Regarding Australian Galaxy Note7 Recall

Just spoke to a Samsung representative on the phone, and at the retail store in Parramatta (Sydney)

They both mentioned that at the moment, Australia hasn't had any cases of phone-combustion, but they are taking details down for customers who either want a refund or brand new replacement (no repairs at this point). Refund is processed instantly on the spot, and if opting for replacement, depending on shipment, there might be a waiting period (1-3 weeks) depending on the branch, in which case they will provide a loan phone in the mean time (and transfer all the data from the note7 to that one).

I didn't opt to make a decision at this time yet, but they took my details, plus the phone's IMEI and Serial number, and will contact me when they get specific info regarding Australian Models and/or when they decide to take the phone and give out a loaner, while waiting for the new shipment to arrive.

The samsung.com/au site also has a list of model numbers down for the affected models of note7, but mostly from overseas, no Australian models on the list.

Will update when I get more information.
