Hey All,
I've been searching for a couple days now and decided I'd try and post on my problem. Long story short, I'm only able to boot directly to the "Firmware Update" Screen. I can get to the "Factory Reset" screen, but does nothing. Long story:
- I have an LG G2 (D801) that was rooted and on Lollipop (stock, 30b).
- In trying to update TWRP the recovery got shot (I assume trying to update using the TWRP app).
- I had to use the KitKat style app to force a re-install of 2.8.7 TWRP.
- Got into TWRP but no more system. No biggy cuz I want to install the new ROM (blissy). Flashed a setup file, restarted and couldn't get anywhere.
- Started getting Security Error on the LG logo when booting.
- Nothing else.
- Got the SRK Tool, was able to wipe it and get rid of the Security Error.
- Now it was just stuck on the LG screen. Left it there for a few hours, no change.
- Booted to Factory Reset, hit reset, got little android animation, but then LG logo again.
- No recovery and no system, decided to try and flash using the LG flash tool 2014.
- Phone will boot to Download Mode showing a little black and blue animation and then the Firmware Update screen.
- Tried tool several times to no avail. Kept getting an error.
- Eventually noticed that somewhere while trying it did get a COM3 in green and was at 9% but stopped at some point when I kept trying.
- I think at this point I fudged the firmware update.
- Device will now only boot to Firmware Update screen (no more black and blue animation though, just straight to that screen).
- Still can get to Factory Reset screen. But all options just restarts the phone to Firmware Update.
- LG flash tool 2014 didn't seem to be working any more. Tried running the B2CAppSetup and now no longer brings up the Country/Language screen either.
- When plugged in on the Firmware screen, it is shown in device manager as LG Mobile USB.
- But running "adb devices" doesn't detect it.
How fudged am I in this situation? Can I save this device? Any help is appreciated....
