Carbon/Helium issue, app failing to get root. Non zero result.

So after rooting and Xposed'ing (xposing?) my phone (locked bootloader because of TWN), I tried to use Helium to get all my apps and data back.
Instead, I get the attached screenshot

There was an error executing the Superuser command. Helium will fall back to non root usage. Error: Non zero result: 1
I've since used Titanium Backup, but it's not the same and I still have a bunch of older backups from a previous device that I may want to use at some stage.
I know there was an issue with the G4 previously, but the change log seems to suggest it was fixed.
I know there's the possibility to use the PC app, but I have root (as shown by the blue popup) and it should work, but it just doesn't work.
I've tried looking around the forum and a little bit of google but I can't seem to figure out the issue. I even bought SuperSu Pro just to be sure.
