Language Navi translates foreign language apps on-the-fly (Oreo+)

Language Navi

Google has been working on their translation applications and web services for a while now. Google Lens is quite impressive as it allows you to point the camera at a menu, a sign, or anything else with a non-native language and it can translate it for you. But what about applications on your phone that do not support your native language? Sure, if you have two phones then you could use one to scan the other, but that is incredibly inconvenient. So XDA Junior Member tachibanalab has just recently released an application called Language Navi that will translate foreign language words directly in an application and on-the-fly too.

This is a fantastic idea for those who have discovered some of the most popular applications in another language and can even be great when traveling as their native navigation applications can be more accurate than Google Maps at times.

Current features of Language Navi include:

  • Free
  • Non Root/Xposed
  • Google Translate (Auto-detect & 103 languages)

Upcoming features planned for Language Navi include:

  • Localizations
  • Optical character recognition (OCR)
  • Translate notifications

And the developer has some important notes for anyone who wants to use it:

  • Currently will not work with most games.
  • Android 8.0 and above.
  • Requires activation of accessibility service.
