Moto G (1st gen) nothing shows up on screen

Hi! I Any ideas why its only a black screen when I turn on the moto g after a screen replacement? The led notification light and lcd is working fine. tried even trying to boot into recovery and still nothing. It can't be the connector because I haven't bent it. I used the tools and followed a video. Maybe I could just flash an android firmware but how?
