Hi! So long story short....My friend has a T-mobile Galaxy S6 and accidentally deleted some very important texts. They were so important she begged me to do EVERYTHING I could to recover them. This meant rooting the device because all recovery software required root. Her phone had the 6.0.1 update so I followed the instructions here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjVAaJHWAjw
Everything seemed to go well until she got a phone call and couldn't hear any audio! I saw this reported on other threads but what's the best way to fix it? I saw someone made patch and I wanted to flash it but her phone doesn't have a custom recovery. Would I be able to flash the stock kernel back onto the phone? (Even if I lose root) The more important thing is to fix the audio issue in calls but not resetting the device making her install and setup everything again.
Thanks in advance for any help!
